Business Strategy

Ed Lee is a Director of Bowbridge, an advisory consultancy based in London which focuses on helping business owners enhance and protect value throughout the business cycle. Ed is a 6th generation member of his own family’s businesses and so has an innate and long-held passion for family enterprise.

Ed’s main focus is on understanding what drives a business, how to unlock value and how to navigate complex business issues and transitions. With extensive financial, operational and transaction experience, Ed works closely with owners and management teams to evolve their strategy, enhance business operations, improve profitability and maximise shareholder value.

Until late 2017, Ed was a Director in KPMG’s market-leading Private Equity team, advising some of the highest-profile global PE funds on their M&A activities. He left KPMG to work alongside his father-in-law at his leading international auction house, navigating the business through a successful succession plan and transition to new shareholders.

Alongside involvement in his own family operations, he also has a portfolio of Non-Executive roles, where he provides advice to entrepreneurs, shareholders and management teams on both their long-term strategy and shorter-term operations.

At Bowbridge, Ed works alongside a multi-award winning strategy and innovation consultant who specialises in business proposition, brand and marketing. He has particular expertise in digital strategy and helping established businesses embrace technology to unlock growth and efficiency.

Ed qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2009.
